Germantown, MD – April 25, 2014. Matan Companies hosted a “Party for the Planet” Earth Day event on Thursday, April 24^th from 1:00-3:00 pm at their Milestone Business Park property in Germantown, Maryland. Party for the Planet, in conjunction with Bring Your Child to Work Day, was a combination of activities and events for the tenants and their children, featuring eco-friendly focused booths and displays, arts and crafts, prizes and giveaways, popcorn, ice cream, hot dogs, balloon twisters, and live music.

The celebration helped to raise awareness of the impact that actively recycling, conserving energy, and promoting clean air can have on our environment. Tenants were given the opportunity to shred their unwanted documents and recycle their old, used, broken or discarded electronics on-site at no cost. Acceptable items included computers, laptops, printers, copiers, radios, cell phones and other small equipment.
